You can easily check the status of your amended tax return by following the instructions in this short video.
To do this, simply click on this link, and follow the instructions that we outline below.
You will then be given the status of your amended return.
If your return shows that it's been received, that means the IRS has your return and is processing it.
If it shows that it is adjusted, the IRS will either be issuing you a refund, you now owe a balance, or there has been an adjustment made to the return but there is no change to the amount due.
If the status comes back as completed, then that means the IRS has finished processing the return, and you will be receiving all of the information regarding your amended return in the mail.
